All I can say is thanks Yank…
If you are looking for one of the tightest converters on the street and a monster at the track the SS line is what you want. When looking at other converters on the market I saw many lose mph at the track after an install, which translates into poor efficiencies. Every Yank I saw either gained mph or stayed the same, so that is why I choose them. My first converter for my Stock Internal (S.I.)2002 Z28 Camaro was an ss3600 2.2str. It was very tight on the street and only slightly looser than stock. The car had no problem keeping up with traffic at 2k RPMs.

After getting the itch for more power I decided to go cam only with a mid size street friendly cam (230/230 111+2)…Since I was changing the cam I wanted to match the converter better so I got a SS4000 2.6str. I was really surprised how well it drove on the street, it was just slightly looser than my ss3600. To keep up with traffic it takes around 2200-2300 RPM.

For people wondering I taped up the front end to try and help with aerodynamics not sure if it helped any…
Sorry cant find any actions shots right now…
Also the car is still on the stock 10 bolt and 3.23 gears, so it has more potential to 60ft even better with a 12 bolt with some 4.10s in the near future…
Let me know if you get the email okay with all images and videos…
Thanks again,
David Childress
